Michel-Rolph Trouillot
(PhD, Johns Hopkins 1985) Professor of Anthropology and of Social Sciences in the College, works on the relation between historicity and power; the epistemology of the human sciences; global flows; and the historical evolution of Caribbean populations, their economic and cultural emergence from the slavery situation, their uneven integration into the world economy, and their relation to capital and to the state.
