The real reason Haiti is desperately poor is because they are an international pariah state. This goes back to the days when there was a slave revolt on Haiti and all the white masters were killed by the Haitians. Since then they have been outcasts. Haitian refugees are a problem for all the Caribbean nations including the Bahamas. So, yes you are right, it is racism. But the real racism is in the fact that the white imperialist nations who rule our planet have never forgiven Haiti.

While so many pretend they are “concerned” about the well-being of Crimean Tatars, nobody seems to give a damn about Haitians. Simple hypocrisy? Or hypocrisy mixed with racism?
