thousands of people detained by ICE are simply missing — disappeared, unaccounted for, erased from records as if they were never human at all. If that isn’t authoritarianism, what is? And the uncomfortable truth is this: the political power behind this system was delivered by American Christians who claimed to follow a God of mercy, justice, and compassion. How do you reconcile the teachings of Jesus — who sheltered the stranger, defended the vulnerable, and condemned the abuse of power — with a government that detains human beings and loses track of them like inventory? If Christianity means “protect the least of these,” how did it become aligned with a machinery that disappears thousands? You cannot worship a God of love while voting for systems that crush His children. MAGA hippo-Christians.
