I don’t know why the American government hates Cuba and blockades it. Is it because it’s communist? China is communist and we as a nation have invest trillions of dollars there, manufacture directly or indirectly hundreds of billions of dollars good there, more than 80 percent of the electronics say “made in China” on them. Western companies designed hundreds skyscrapers in China. It’s really hard to understand why a tiny, poor, little country is blockaded while Chinese ships flood into every port with goods and the US exports more LNG to China than the value of the entire of the GDP of Cuba. Cuba is not a threat at all militarily. And the people are nice and friendly with good beaches. The sanctions are petty, silly, and outdated. We’ve taken the moral low ground and gone lower.

The us couldn't care less. It's the Miami Cubans who are still butt hurt since the bearded horse took power 67 years ago. BTW. Little Marco' s family left in 1956 during Bautista's puppet leadership and the Italian mafia were running drugs, prostitution, and corruption.

The situation of Cuba from the very start is the fault of USA, they push them in to Soviet hands, they put embargo, sanctions, Hans Barton law pushed by the Cuban community in Florida(Batisteros and Marielitos including Gloria Stefan and Celia Cruz), now the blockade, and many stupide in the world accused the Cuban government of the economic situation, and also some idiots in Cuba. It is criminal, USA has good relations with dictators around the world(Arab peninsula countries and all the dictators in Hispanoamerica), so it is not the democracy or Human Rights reason, no matter the president or the party in USA(Obama was a PR to infiltrate the CIA in Cuba to work from inside), check the situation of the rest of the US neighbors in many of them the social situation for the working class is even worst than in Cuba.
